Amy toured internationally with a small professional ballet company: Ballet Excelsior of Houston. After that she majored in Musical Theatre at SHSU.
She’s recently toured with Main Street Theater as Dina in School House Rock Live, and performed as a super in Don Giovanni with Houston Grand Opera. Other favorite roles include Rosie in Bye Bye Birdie, Erma in Anything Goes, and The Queen of England: Jane Seymour at The Texas Renaissance Festival. She also recently directed and choreographed Come Alive with Haven Arts Theatre at Prohibition Theatre.
She’s choreographed all over the Houston area, including the After Dark Dancers at TRF After Dark. She also choreographs the social dancing at The Texas Renaissance Festival. Her recent Choreography of Chicago won the 2016 Montie Award for Best Choreography. Other favorite works include The Hobbit at the Crighton Theatre and A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Stageworks.
Teaching has always been a part of Amy’s professional career. She’s taught at various schools and after-school theatre arts programs. She is a teaching artist with TUTS and has also taught at Covenant Christian School, Christian Youth Theatre, Houston Family Arts Center, Kingwood High School and others.
